Chad Hilgenberg is the owner and operator of Hilgenberg Construction LLC. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, he has lived in Duluth with his wife Molly and their dog Lefty since 2021. In 2024 they welcomed their son August into the world. Previously they lived in Northern California, Upstate New York and Minneapolis. Chad has an eclectic background. In his former life, Chad received a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, then proceeded to work as a Certified Public Accountant in Minneapolis, MN. Chad currently holds a CPA license in MN and CA - both inactive and in good standing. He then embarked on a lifelong pursuit of trades and craftsmanship and worked a brewmaster from 2009-2017. He started to explore and hone his craft as a builder in 2017 and built his first custom home: a fully off-grid cabin in the coastal mountains of Humboldt County, California. Chad worked from 2017-2024 as a carpenter, and then founded Hilgenberg Construction LLC in 2025. He is dedicated to his craft, building high quality projects and cultivating positive relationships with other tradesmen, sub contractors and customers.
